Have you ever heard "you're never too old to try something new"?
That's exactly what led to Jayson's acting career. Jayson had an awesome career as a Firefighter / Medic, then he went on to work in and ultimately buy a failing family business. After rebuilding and re-branding that business he turned it into a million-dollar company.  Along the way Jayson had started and sold a few small businesses and was looking for something that excited him. his wife Ronica asked if he was having a mid-life crisis? If so that mid-life crisis has turned into a career in acting. Jayson Gave the majority ownership of his locksmithing business to his wife so he could step back and focus on a career as a professional actor. As Jack Black said in the movie Minecraft "what was I doing with my life? I wasn't meant to sell door knobs" Thank You Jack... I wasn't either.
